Longreach

They have made it to Longreach and by the looks of it, have an ensuite site, the only way to camp in my opinion. They seem to be settling into it ok, seems like they were popular Sunday with a TV outside and the Swans game on.

We enjoyed Blackall especially the wool scour. Funny thing happened . Tom was having a shower and couldn't get the water cold enough and all of a sudden our washing machine that is supposed to only use cold water was washing with hot water. It took some time for us to be told that it is all artesian water and comes out of the ground at 58c so there is no cold water.....

We are now in Longreach. We have been very impressed with some of the towns we have been to. Blackall, Charleville and Barcaldine were really nice. Neat, wide streets and some beautiful houses in the Queenslander style.

On Saturday we will head off to Winton

It is still cold. Today was about 16 degrees and we are right on the Tropic of Capricorn! Where do we get some decent weather?
