Hall's Gap, Grampians.

A beautiful place.  Very tourist oriented (for people like us!)  Nice van park, lots of wild life.

Stunning views.

Wildlife in the local park.

Emus too!

We saw this bloke while driving in the hills.

Hall's Gap town from one of the lookouts.

Plenty of roos in the van park also.  Lots of evidence too!

Victor Harbour/Delamere/Mount Barker/Edenhope

South of Victor Harbour looking back.

Somewhere on the coast south of Victor Harbour.

Ferry to Kangaroo Island at Cape Jervis.

On the farm!

View to KI from the farm house.

Jane's uncle and aunt (recently deceased) lived here on the beach in Adelaide.  The house is now surrounded by monoliths!  It will soon be gone... very sad.

Jane and Faye mountain climbing!

Views from Mt Arapolies.

Faye, Jane amd Anto.
Wet, wet at Victor Harbour.

Jane's family house at Eden Hills.
Not a lot to show for this period.  We stayed a couple of nights at VH which has the reputation as 'God's Waiting Room" for South Australia.  VH and Goolwa are both nice places with lots of history.  Sorry but I did not do much with the camera.  Actually it was pretty wet and miserable.

From VH we visited Jane's cousin Robert and his wife Ann who have a sheep and cattle property near Delamere overlooking Kangaroo Island... a beautiful part of the world.

We spent 6 days at Mount Barker helping Nick with his (recently purchased) house.  He has some work to do!

Then to Edenhope in Victoria to another of Jane's cousins.  She had not seen Anthony for over 40 years!!  Anto and Faye were great hosts.

Hindmarsh Island

You might remember the fuss that was made some years back about the proposed bridge to HI.  Does 'secret women's business' ring a bell?  Lots of development now including canal developments.  Pretty rampant really.

THE bridge!

Marina development.

Canal development.

Flash boats!

Finally... the Murray mouth.  The breakers are the open ocean.

Meningie

Meningie is on Lake Albert which is an offshoot of Lake Alexandrina... the Murray mouth.  The Coorong is closeby.  Pretty little place and the lake van site was very nice.  Rained all night!

Nice spot by the lake.

It is a big lake!

The Coorong.

More Coorong.

Mannum

Another beaut spot.  Van park was a bit crowded though.

We used the ferry to cross the river.

Mannum CBD

View from the lookout.

The Murray Princess floated by... quite a sight.

Loxton

Catching up on some washing.

River is pretty full here.

Climbed up the cliff for this one.

Some beautiful sunsets on the river.

Pioneer village in town... nicely done.

Not much history with this except that it was built by a local.

Not quite aircraft standard with the cable termination!

Now into South Australia.  Very dry but everywhere seems that way.  Nice town.  Van sites not far from the river.  We have been joined by our friends Paul and Gail from Adelaide for a few days.

Robinvale

Another very pretty spot on the river.  Nicely grassed van sites that back right onto the water.  The river is much higher here as there is a weir not far down stream.
I'm told there is a Robinvale sign at V-B.

View from the back of the van.
